Beary Merry Christmas

Beary Merry Christmas is a month long event held in Downtown New Bern. Our downtown area is transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland with a number of exciting events planned to enhance your holiday experience. Our signature event “Light Up the Season & Santa's Arrival” kicks off the festivities the day after Thanksgiving with games, crafts, live entertainment and SNOW!
February 2021 kicked off "Shop Local, Love Local" as well as our first ever "Letters of Love" campaign. The campaign was designed to send a message of love, gratitude and hope to the seniors in our community. We surpassed our goal of 800 letters with the final count coming in at around 2,200 letters, cards and hand made art projects allowing us to deliver cards to Pamlico & Jones counties as well as the facilities in Craven County. We will most definitely do this again! Thank you to everyone who participated.

We had a wonderful time celebrating St. Patrick's Day in downtown. From Family Fun Shamrock Adventures, Carriage Rides to the Pub Crawl, there was something for everyone!
